Smokey was born on July 7, 2019. 

Nothing is known about his parents but he does have two sisters who were also sheltered at the West Suburban Humane Society.

During his time at the shelter he lived in a "Cattery." That's a big room with no cages.  It just had a couch, cat beds, shelves for climbing, toys, a play area, a food station and a litter station.
